“Best day ever” -Brody

Wow! What a great day! Brody successfully completed his first ever farmers market, which was a goal he had set for himself around this time last year. In fact, this time last year he was busy preparing for Lemonade Day.

For those who don’t know, Lemonade Day was an event held in Berthoud last year to help encourage young entrepreneurship. Kids all over Berthoud set up their lemonade stands after learning about investments and the basics of what it takes to run a business. Brody posted his stand right in Fickle Park (home of the Farmers Market). That day he kept saying he wanted to be apart of the of the market and has worked to get there ever since. To be able to meet this goal is amazing and we are so proud of him!

Today was an another fantastic learning opportunity to learn how to better interact with people, answer questions about his chickens and business, run a card reader (whoa!), count change back, and work under a bit of pressure. He truly is a natural and watching him in action is something that speaks for itself.

He was able to pay back his Mom and Step-Dad for the “business loan” he needed for the extra supplies specific to events like today. He was also able to save some to use for chicken feed and more supplies to restock his inventory.

A huge thank you to those that stopped by and supported him. None of this would be possible without the support. I hope you enjoy following along on this adventure. We’re excited to see where else this takes him!

**Also, check out the pictures of a “fairy egg” one of his chickens left. It’s super small and when cooked had a super tiny yolk! He ended up cooking it for his dog 😀
